RealityFix is a story slam. Real people tell their 5-min. story on a given topic, without notes, and without any BS. Funny, serious, or unusual. But it's all true. If you want to participate, just show up and we'll put your name in a hat. When your name is picked, you've got our full attention. Then the audience picks a winner. And yes, there are prizes.

The Salon release party for our second issue will be held Thursday, Sep. 16th, 7:30-9:30pm at the Off Center for Dramatic Arts, the new black box theatre in Burlington. Its located in North End Studio, at 294 N. Winooski Ave.
The $5 admission includes live music by pianist Randal Pierce, refreshments, readings, and a copy of Issue 2, which features work by Greg Delanty, Elizabeth Powell, David Budbill, Dana Yeaton, Angela Patten, Marc Awodey, Annie Doran, Meredith Martinez, and more.

The Salon: A Journal of Poetry & Fiction, is pleased to introduce the Local Literature Library into North End Studios. The goal of the library is to make local authors and publications more visible and available to the general public. We're always looking for donations, so if you'd like to have a favorite book of yours in the library just bring it by the studio with a note. Currently there are collections of poems by David Cavanagh, Tina Escaja, Elizabeth Powell and many others, as well as Vermont periodicals such as Green Mountains Review, Vermont Literary Review, Queen City Review, and others. Off Center for the Dramatic Arts is Burlington, Vermont's newest black box theater. Located in the heart of Burlington's Old North End. Off Center provides an affordable, accessible performance and rehearsal space for productions by local community theater artists, as well as a venue for educational opportunities for area students. The concept of a dedicated, professional, yet affordable theater space is a unique one in the city of Burlington, Vermont. Off Center can host not only theatrical productions, including staged readings and new works, but also classes in theater arts, such as acting, directing, stage management, and playwriting.
