“Iyengar yoga is a systematic approach to learning the classical 8-limbed practice of yoga as developed by B.K.S. Iyengar and his family in India. Iyengar yoga focuses on uniting the body, breath, and mind through attention to alignment both inner and outer and the therapeutic application of yoga asanas (postures) to help the student deal with limitation, disease, injury and pain. Each class we learn about the body and its movements as a way of entering into deep inquiry of our inner experience. It is a safe practice that is appropriate for any body, regardless of age or condition.
I am a certified teacher in the Yoga Alliance at the 500 level, and am currently going through the process of being certified in the Iyengar tradiiton. I have been teaching for five years to all levels of students and am happy to assist you in your practice. You can learn more about me and the Iyengar tradition on my website: www.rebeccaweismanyoga.com”
Cost of the class is $60 for the session/ $13 drop-in.

"Music Seeds" Free Demo Classes October 6, 2010
Classes:
For children from birth to 2 years old - 9:30-10:00 am
For children from 2 to 4 years old – 10:15-10:45
In Music Seeds classes, parents and children experience the joy of playing with music through songs, chants, movement, scarves, shakers, and more. This is an informal approach for children to explore and discover music in a playful way. Music learning starts at birth-even before and the more musical experiences a child has in early childhood, the more successful a child will be with making and enjoying music later on. So, come and try a free class.
A full session of classes will start the next week on Oct. 13.
